With 15 years of experience of working in arts and health, Dr Rosie Mead has built a career championing the importance of embedding music into dementia care pathways. Her academic expertise researching the role of meaningful music to support relational aspects of dementia care, has led her to support the care sector to use music as part of daily dementia care. Her vision is for a world where people living with dementia feel supported, connected and better able to live well with their condition. Her vehicle for this is her social enterprise – Musica Music and Wellbeing CIC, which provides training and consultancy for healthcare professionals and unpaid caregivers, as well as meaningful music activities to support the wellbeing of individuals living with dementia.
